Free and family friendly Marcha and Fiesta

March with Dolores Huerta, civil rights leader and co-founder of the United Farm Workers Union, to honor the life and legacy of her partner, César Chávez.

After La Marcha de Justicia, we will celebrate at our annual Fiesta with a Kid's Corner, food, music, dancing, information booths, and lots of fun!

The Kid's Corner will have arts and crafts, games, and a piñata for your children and grandchildren.

We will honor the 2017 César Chávez and the Dolores Huerta ¡Sí Se Puede! awardees: Rosa Cervantes and Enrique Cardiel - leaders who have served our community.

At 9:00 a.m., we start off the day with a ceremony honoring New Mexico's very own Dolores Huerta. Bernalillo County is renaming "South Valley Gateway Park" the "Dolores Huerta Gateway Park."

At 10:30 a.m., La Marcha de Justicia steps off from Dolores Huerta Gateway Park. At 10:50 we will be joined by more marchers from the National Hispanic Cultural Center (8th St. and Bridge).

At 12 p.m., the Fiesta begins when we return to the NHCC Plaza Mayor. Dolores Huerta is our Keynote Speaker. Music by Kiko Villamizar and Calle 66!
